Trauma-Informed Therapy for Teens & Young Adults
On the outside, you may look capable and composed. Inside, you might feel anxious, self-critical, or constantly bracing for something to go wrong.
Or perhaps you’re a parent watching your teen succeed academically while quietly wondering, “Are they actually okay?”
Many of the teens and young adults I work with have been shaped by painful or confusing relational experiences. Others can’t point to one defining event—but learned early to overperform, stay composed, or take care of everyone else. Over time, those strategies become exhausting. Anxiety tightens. Perfectionism takes over. Self-doubt grows louder.
For young adults, this often surfaces during transitions—leaving home, starting college or a career, navigating relationships, or questioning identity and direction. What once helped you cope may now feel isolating or unsustainable.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy for teens and young adults navigating anxiety and perfectionism shaped by early relational experiences. Together, we slow down and look more closely—with curiosity instead of shame—at the patterns that once protected you but now keep you stuck.
My work integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems–informed parts work, and somatic therapy to address trauma and nervous system dysregulation at its roots. This isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about building steadiness, clarity, and self-trust from the inside out.
If you’re a teen or young adult, your voice matters here.
If you’re a parent, you can expect steady collaboration and thoughtful communication along the way.
Outside of therapy, I value time with my partner, friends, and family; trying new foods at local restaurants or through new recipes; spending time outdoors and traveling; and playing with my tuxedo kitty.
You don’t have to keep carrying this alone.
